The mission of Florida A & M University National Alumni Association, Inc. is to participate as a partner with the University in supporting the University's continued success through student recruitment, alumni retention and expansion, financial support, public relations and community outreach.

Dear NY FAMU Rattler Family,

As we enter into the regime of a new administration, I am excited about all that we may achieve.  Together we continue to grow, expand and become better.  We continue our goal to help students attend FAMU, support FAMU and help our fellow rattlers in the NY Metropolitan Area.  Below are just a few of the accomplishments of the past Executive Board and goals of the new administration.

 College Fairs – Our chapter has attended several college fairs from Harlem to Brooklyn to Queens/Long Island. 

We will continue to inform the students in the New York City Metro Area about our illustrious FAMU

Community Service – We have started to be more active to help the community that we live in through community service at the Bowery Mission and helping Harlem’s Children Zone. 

We will be starting a new Mentorship Program

Fundraising – With great teamwork we had the highly successful fundraising event, which also supported a fellow FAMU NY Alum.

We will launch a new annual fundraiser in the Spring of 2011

Mixers – With consistency and strength, NY Rattlers and friends come together to talk, drink, eat and network.  We have been ice skating, bull riding, skiing and dancing.  

We will host more social and networking events with other alumni groups in the NYC Metro area

I welcome each of you to recommit and join FAMU NAA NY and become a financial member for only $60.  Help us to help ourselves and the entire FAMU NAA NY community.
